UPDATE: On Sunday 23rd January another session was held with 6 people who continued the reduction of brambles along the fence line, and the outlyers from the main bushes which encroach onto the better grazing area.
On Sunday January 16th, as notified to shareholders and others who have requested information by e-mail, there was a session to clear brambles down the fence side of the Sledging Field, next to the former T.H.White site.
More work will be required above to the Vernal Lane kissing gate.
The fencing was becoming overgrown, with outlying brambles again, so maintenance had become difficult. A good start was made from the lower end by a team of 13 volunteers, including 4 of the SOS Directors.
The following photos by Yvonne MM illustrate some aspects of the task.
